Today I want to talk about tomato soup! Yes, you heard me right, tomato soup. There are so many varieties to pick from when you are in the store. What do you usually use tomato soup for, cheese sandwiches, drink or as an ingredient in a recipe?
When I was growing up my mother tried something different than the same old dunking your cheese sandwich in the tomato soup. So today I will give you my mother alternative to cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. This quick and easy recipe is nice for leftover tomato soup or a whole can of tomato soup that can be used for the whole family.
What you will Need
Bread of any variety (toasted) Tomato soup already diluted
Cheese of any variety Onions chopped and sautéed
1 large bowl Plates
Toaster
1. First, take a can of tomato soup and dilute it. Stir well. Add extra Basil if you like.
2. Depending on how much soup you have ad cheese of any variety. If you are using a full can of soup I add 1 to 1 ½ cups of cheese.
3. Place this all in a large bowl and microwave on high until all the cheese is almost melted. Stir very well to mix your cheese and tomato soup together. Add your sauteed onions and basil if desired.
4. Next, toast any variety of bread and lay them onto a plate.
5. Pour your tomato, cheese, onion, and basil mixture over your toast.
6. Enjoy a different cheesy tomato soup over toast.

This recipe is great for the whole family or if you just have a little left over soup you want to use up for one. This was always a favorite of our whole family. This is something quick and easy to make and fairly cheap to make. Finding something the whole family likes can be challenging at times but this is a delicious alternative to just plain old tomato soup and cheese sandwiches.
